Thwop is run by Pellucid Games LLC. It has no accounts or passwords. Here is everything it keeps, and why.

What we store

• A random player token, in a cookie and in your browser’s local storage, so Thwop can remember your puzzles and results. It is created the first time you play or make a puzzle.
• Your puzzles and your play: the words and clue of puzzles you make, and each guess you make on puzzles you play, with times.
• How you arrived: which puzzle link first brought you to Thwop.
• A name, only if you give one. It is shown to people whose puzzles you play and people who play yours.
• Visit logs for puzzle links: time, browser type, country and network, used to tell real visits apart from link previews and automated scanners.

We don’t sell or share data, show ads or use third-party trackers. Browser “Do Not Track” signals don’t change anything, because there is no tracking to turn off.

Children

Thwop isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information (like a name) from them.

Deleting your data

Go to My puzzles and choose “Delete my data”. That removes your name, hides the puzzles you made, and disconnects this browser.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too.
